Audience 1 - Technical leaders becoming "board-ready"
-
Professional identity & mindsetTransitioning from technical expert to strategic advisor - typically dealing with redefining self-worth and credibility.
Most of the tech-heads feel useless if they aren't on the tools, so it might be about helping them realise the benefits of reframing this for board roles. -
Strategic awareness
-
Prompting them to think beyond systems and projects to organisational risk, opportunities, and longer-term value.
-
Influence & relationshipsBuilding trust with senior stakeholders and their attitude to navigating politics and power dynamics.
I find most technical people "don't have time for this" stuff but even if you don't want to engage with it directly, it's useful to be aware of it. This part could help them think about the key relationship they have or need to build. -
Executive "presence" & confidenceI think this section could deal with speaking to board leaders, toning down technical language and how to appear and feel more credible in the board space.
